BUILD YOUR PERFECT SQUARE!

Today, i want to share with you a simple, usefull, ingenious and intuitive game that can help you to identify, to evaluate and to enhance your personal “kpi” also.

What do i mean with “personal kpi”?

And…

Why is it important to worry about it?

First of all, personal kpi are main areas affecting an individual’s life and status; it’s important to take care of personal kpi because they allow us to understand with respect to our goal, how far we have come and how much we still have to do. They allow us to understand what are our strengths, privileges, what are our weaknesses, defects, and therefore to understand what we need to do to put ourselves in an optimal condition, which allows us not only to increase our well-being in the time but also to be more efficient at work and in achieving our goals.

STOP TALKING, LET’S SEE THIS GAME/EXERCISE! ✅

  1. Take a blank sheet of paper and divide it into 4 quadrants.
  2. Name quadrants: CAREER, RELATIONSHIPS, HEALTH, GROWTH. (one word per quadrant)
  3. Draw 2 oblique lines passing through the center. (X)
  4. Assign a numerical value (from 1 to 10) to each area, after having self-analyzed, which honestly reflects your degree of satisfaction and the success you have achieved in each specific area.
  5. At the numerical value, hatch the oblique line.
  6. Connect the dots.
  7. From the figure that will come out, do the due evaluations/reflections to understand how close or far you are from getting a perfect square.

At this point, take another sheet, always divide it into 4 and for each area write down the objectives you want to achieve this year.

For example, the score i gave myself this year in health is 1, because in the last 3 years many things have happened that have radically changed my lifestyle and my well-being. So to improve my health, i thought that i absolutely had to stop smoking and i wrote it down. The same thing goes for career, human relationships and personal growth, whether they’re things to do and/or things not to do, write them all!

They will be your guideline for this year and those to come!

Over time, you choose how much, repeat the same exercise. Undergo self-analysis, ask yourself questions!

(Example)

On a scale from 1 to 10, how much effort did i put into creating a healthier lifestyle?

And, how much do i think my health actually is improved?

Not only will the written form help you to have a memory of what and why it’s important to you, but it will also help you not to self-sabotage, not to procrastinate! Because that paper will remind you that it’s your fault alone!

And it will be an offense to yourself! ❌
